This tool allows you to open Kwikset brand door knobs (Both SmartKey and standard) as well as Weiser SmartKey knobs. It will not work on older non-SmartKey Weiser knobs. The tool also works on some Kwikset knock-off entry knobs.
The tool is inserted in the factory hole under the rose of the standard Grade 3 lock and maneuvered into the lock until it is above the nub on the spindle. Pull back on the nub to unlock the lock. On Grade 2 knob locks, you will have to drill a small hole in the dimple on the plate before inserting the tool. Instructions are included.
